Fire and Ice

This is a block from my quilt! My mom is making me a really cool quilt. We picked out the pattern and the fabric together, and it will be called "Fire and Ice". This is the picture I am using for my profile! I can't wait until it is done. It's really pretty!

ISTEP

Oh no! The dreaded ISTEP test has found our school once again. Not that I don't love taking tests (what middle school kid doesn't? :)) but the ISTEP is just so long and boring. Bleh. I hope the writing prompt they have is better than the one last year! At least I get to read when I finish the test. I would like to have a talk with the creators of this test, though. I have a few things to say to them!!!

Peanuts

I just have a few things to say about peanuts. First off, why are the shells so salty? I know you are not supposed to eat them, but I still want to know. Second- why are they textured like waffles? I don't suppose that anyone can answer these except God. Hmm. Here's my last one- WHO IN THE WORLD NAMED THESE THINGS, ANYWAY??!!??!?!? I mean, come on people- PEA-nuts?!? PEE-nuts?!? What a goof.
